McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy-duty Steam Cleaner is a great budget home steam cleaner which cleans and kills germs without chemicals. It is easy to use, especially for a first-time user, because the ‘steam ready’ light indicates when it is ready to be used. With a 50-ounce water-tank capacity, this cleaner allows usage for up to an hour.

McCulloch MC-1275 is easy to set up, put away and handle (with a sprayer in one hand and a towel in the other). The handle is comfortable to use, even after an hour of cleaning. Plenty users would agree with me that the supply of attachments (the extensions) are solid, durable and well made. The smaller round brushes are very effective in cleaning difficult to reach crevices (including brake dust). What I like best about the McCulloch MC-1275 is that it makes my cleaning in the kitchen and toilet so easy and makes them look as good as new!
For surfaces that cannot be cleaned by chemicals, steam is the only option. However, some users commented that steam from McCulloch MC-1275 was not effective for mineral build-ups such as calcium deposits. Additionally, steaming takes slightly longer in comparison to chemical based cleaning. But I prefer steam cleaning over chemical based cleaning as the areas stay cleaner longer because there are no chemical residue to attract the dust and grime.
One thing to note is that the steam that comes out of the nozzle is quite loud, especially if you use it in a confined area. But this steam cleaner is affordable and effective for the average home. So for those difficult-to-reach areas and delicate surfaces, McCulloch MC-1275 is the best bet (for its price and its use) compared to other hand-held units in the market thus far.
