Well, I just ordered a Daimer Vapor Cleaner – model number 300CS. It has a SS boiler and is a continuous refill machine weighing in at 23 lbs. I ordered a 10 pack of the nylon brushes for $33.00. When compared to other brands of vapor steamers, Daimer’s accessories were more reasonbly priced.
The body of the machine is also SS and has a base of FOUR wheels for stability. I talked to a sales rep who told me that the hose is quite flexible. This is important to me as I plan to clean my counters with it and don’t want to waste my time attempting to manipulate a stiff hose. Already, I have a buildup of granite cleaner on the kitchen and bathroom counter tops. I’m looking forward to what the Daimer can do with the counters. I also plan to clean my husband’s shower with it. There are only two areas that really require steam cleaning in the shower – the grout line along the wall and the corners. In the past I’ve used a toothbrush to clean those areas. What a chore, yet something I’ve come to expect. I’m looking forward to giving up that chore. I also plan to clean the shower glass with the vapor machine. I have the feeling that cleaning glass will take some getting used to. I’m hoping the window and glass cleaning will be an easy job – time will tell. I imagine it’s a good idea to have several microfiber towels on hand when doing glass and windows.
If you want to visit Daimer’s site, go to http://www.daimer.com.
More info after I receive my Daimer. I’m sure glad I didn’t fall for one of those cheap, upright, so-called steamer/vacs. It pays to do your homework.
